Yash Anand - Yash is a Physics and Math double major from Potomac, Maryland. Yash has an interest in condensed matter physics, quanutm computing and the applications of quanutm computing. He is a undergraduate researcher in Johnpierre Paglione’s lab in the Quantum Materials Center.
Dustin Pham - Dustin is a rising sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering. He was born and raised in Vietnam for 11 years. He’s fluent in both English and Vietnamese. He’s planning to minor in robotics. On campus, he's involved in terpsracing (EV Team). He loves to eat and watch football.
George Witt - George Witt, is an undergraduate sophomore at the University of Maryland: College Park seeking a double degree in physics and computer science focused on machine learning. He's interested in the application of deep learning techniques to experimental physics, and he's specifically interested in Quantum Information Science studies (QIS). He's working in the Walsworth Group at UMD on Deep Reinforcement Learning applied to generating novel pulse sequences for use in NV Quantum Sensing for AC/DC magnetic fields. During his time in Gemstone, he hopes to expand his interest in biology by using his love of physics, QIS, and CS topics to help make strides in quantum computing for protein folding modeling.
Jander Kugelman - Jander is a bioengineering major from Frederick, MD. Jander is interested in molecular biology and computer science applications to molecular biology. Also, he works as a resident assistant on campus.
Eashan Siddalingaiah - Eashan is a Computer Engineering major in the A. James Clark School of Engineering from Clarksburg, Maryland. Eashan chose Team ASQ because of his interests in computer hardware and quantum computing. Outside of his academic responsibilities, Eashan is also president of the Leatherbacks Combat Robotics Club and works as an Additive Manufacturing Technician for Terrapin Works.
Jonathan Li - Jonathan is an Electrical Engineering major from Rockville, MD. He is the treasurer of the Leatherbacks combat robotics club. He is interested in ergonomic design, quantum computing, and the history of computers.
Mark Gouzoulis - Mark is computer science major from Frederick, MD. He is very interested in machine learning, AI and robotics. He's planing to minor in robotics. He also enjoys coding and working out.
Linfred Kingston - Linfred is a Computer Science major from Clarksburg, MD. Outside of Gemstone, Linfred is involved in computational research and software related projects. In his free time, Linfred enjoys running, playing piano, and playing chess
William Taylor - William is a physics major from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He enjoys studying physics and computer science; in the future, he hopes to pursue a career in physics research. He enjoys reading, playing the viola and watching movies.
